A Shreveport police officer on leave since a domestic battery arrest in March faces a second domestic battery charge. Dadrien Updite, 30, was booked at the Caddo Correctional Center on a domestic abuse battery charge after turning himself in Wednesday evening. Updite, who joined the Shreveport Police Department in 2008, was put on leave after a March 9 domestic abuse battery arrest. On Monday, Updite's wife filed a complaint alleging Updite battered her during an argument last week, said Sgt. Bill Goodin, Shreveport Police Department spokesman. Detectives investigated and obtained an arrest warrant for Updite. In March, Updite's wife alleged Updite attacked her during an argument. A police supervisor responded to a call about the incident, and detectives investigated before obtaining an arrest warrant. [LINK]

Abusive cops never change. I hope she has a restraining order against him. He may kill her next time.
ReplyDeletefirst off this author should have checked their facts he was not arrested a second time for battery this trumped up charge was about filing a complaint against the officers who arrested him the first time they picked him up for filing a so called false police report which was bogus and was thrown out once it was taking to court the officers who were in charge of this case did many bogus things to try and convict a fellow officer. he did not batter his wife he filed for divorce and took her brand new car which she later testified to that fact in a letter as well as on the stand in court this was her retaliation for him moving on with another female. there is always two sides to any story make sure you know them before you attempt to pass judgement....
ReplyDeleteThat a lie, I read the statement by her and her daughter. Both told same story and the case went all the way to Fed court and the evidence was overwhelming, it was obvious from statements made that he battered his wife, he was only one who said he didnt.
