[Excerpts] A Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office corrections deputy was arrested Monday for assaulting a man at gunpoint who was having sex with her daughter in the deputy's Belle Glade home. Dorethea Collier, 48, was charged with false imprisonment, aggravated assault and battery for the Nov. 2 incident. She was arrested following a review by the State Attorney's Office... The uniformed deputy punched [the boyfriend] three or four times and then pointed her gun at him, handcuffed him and ordered him to his knees. Her daughter begged her not to shoot Butler. Dorethea Collier also threatened to send [the boyfriend] to jail for raping her daughter. [Deputy Collier's husband] Michael Collier, 48, then arrived home after his wife called him. ...What the hell was she thinking? There is absolutely no excuse for that. Throw the guy out of the house. Throw the daugther out of the house. But to pull a gun on the guy, threaten his life, handcuff him and accuse him or a crime he did not commit, and then have your husband beat him warrants nothing short of termination and jail time. No less will do... She just ruined her career for nothing at all...

...ridiculous that she is on paid leave! she should be fired immediately and the sheriffs office should put the rest of the deputies through rigorous psych testing...
